Behala Bodhayan organized an integrated sports program on Friday, the 21st January, 2010 at the Milan Tirtha Play ground in Sarsuna where the mentally and physically retarded children of the organization participated in the integrated sports meet for the first time with the normal children. The idea behind was to acclimatize the children of Behala Bodhayan with the other children. This brings confidence in their mind. Sarba Sikhsha Mission, Kolkata, Government of West Bengal came forward to assist Behala Bodhayan for this unique sport. Behala Bodhayan eventually works with the school children in 13 wards of Kolkata Municipal Corporation (120 – 132 ward) and does carry out regular survey on mentally weak children.
The specially trained faculties of Behala Bodhayan impart training to these children. Management of Behala Bodhayan acknowledges with gratitude the presence of people from all walks of life. At the end of the sports meet, refreshment and prizes were given to the children.
